Who is Mark Holston?
Mark monitoring water
Working to monitor and protect the Flathead's economically-critical water quality has been a strong personal focus for almost two decades.
My extensive record of public service represents a broad range of issues. I have always set self interest aside to work for the good of the community.

• FVCC Board of Trustees -- three term elected board member
• United Way -- campaign chair and board member
• Flathead Co. Local Emergency Planning Committee -- chair
• Hockaday Museum of Art -- chair and board member

• News Director, KCFW TV -- an unprecedented 14 year opportunity to become familiar with my neighbors in the Flathead and learn about the area's most important issues

• Flathead Basin Commission Project Coordinator and Public Information Officer -- 18 years of working with dozens of area residents to monitor and protect water quality, our most valuable natural and economic asset

National & International Honors:

• Invited to consult the White House of George H.W. Bush

• Two-time Invited Scholar to the Smithsonian Institution

• Recipient of the "Friendship Award" from the Federal Republic of Germany

• Multiple award winner, Society of Professional Journalists

Real Montana values:

• Volunteered for military service; an honorably discharged Air Force veteran
• Have worked to bring people together and promote positive community values

Let me put my four decades of wide-ranging, consensus-seeking experience to work for you in Helena. I'll avoid the pitfalls of partisan bickering and focus on seeking pro-active solutions to Montana's most pressing issues.
