Who is Mark Holston?

• A third-generation resident of the Flathead

• Attended Bigfork and Polson high schools

• Camp counselor, Melita Island, Boy Scouts of America

• Married for 30 years to Marcy, a noted local musician and teacher

• Journalist, musician, photographer, community volunteer
 
Academic

• Flathead Valley Community College, Florida State University

• Have presented academic research papers to such organizations as the International Communications Association and have been invited to serve on panels at conferences in the U.S., Canada, South Korea, Ecuador and Brazil.

• Writings have been included in course syllabi of many universities in the U.S. and other countries, and have been published in college textbooks

Military:

• I am the only candidate in this political campaign who took advantage of the opportunity given to every American -- that of serving our nation as a member of our armed forces.

• I am a proud veteran of service in the U.S. Air Force. I was ready willing and able to serve you then, and I am ready, willing and able to serve you today.

• Protecting your constitutional rights is not just theory to me; I've been doing so since I first took the oath to protect and defend the constitution as a 19 year old.

• The character-building experience of being in the Air Force has served me all of my adult life. 		 
 
 
Living in the Flathead

I've been enjoying the Flathead's outdoor recreational opportunities since I was a kid. I'll work to protect your access to public lands and your right to enjoy Montana's tradition of hunting and fishing. 		  fishing
